# Portofino

GMP provided design services for this 396-unit luxury apartment community located in the Mission Valley area of San Diego, CA. This Italian themed landscape was brought to life by creating a seamless connection between architecture and landscape rich in authentic old-world Italian charm. Community amenities include outdoor barbeque and gathering areas, walking paths, a luxury resort-style pool, spa, and recreation center overlooking Mission Valley.
Unique design features include a grand entry court, multiple water features, ornamental lighting, a cobblestone paseo & pedestrian bridge, decorative tile and paving, and picnic areas. A key component of the design included providing opportunities for communing with friends and family and encouraging social interaction while creating a sense of community and neighborhood pride.
GMP services included conceptual planning, design, theming, construction documents, cost estimating, and construction administration.
